Why do saints resist developing the kind of intimate, spiritual fellowships that the Lord practiced with His apostles [and authored for all His saints]?
The simple wisdom of continuing together reveals the flaws so easily hidden in the cloistered, monastic life.
Therefore, spiritual accountability is increased–for once our flaws are openly revealed–we become openly accountable for them.
God took Moses into the wilderness to prepare him for ministry, but his calling could only be fulfilled among the people of God.
What good does it do us to mature spiritually, if we are unwilling to take up our ministry calling among the people of God?
