When the Heavens turn to Brass

There is a space of time that God gives men to repent of their wickedness (Revelation 2:21).

How long is this interval of grace?

No man knows–for God determines our appointed seasons and the bounds of our habitation (Acts 17:26)–and if we do not repent in the space provided, the heavens will turn to brass [Deuteronomy 28:23):

To be encouraged of the certainty of God faithfulness in blessing the faithful, read Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

To be terrified of the certainty of God’s wrath and cursing against those who persist in wickedness, undeterred by the Holy Spirit’s warnings, read Deuteronomy 28:15-all.

  1. There is no question that God is patient with men in repentance and that a blessing does exist to those who obey Him. Considering the type of blessing (primary physical) and the people to whom these promises were given (physical Israel) I’m not sure how this directly applies to us as spiritual Israel.

The manner in which God blesses His people today would be an awesome subject to discuss amongst ourselves- maybe some Sunday night in the future. I would be curious as to how the brothers and sisters view His blessing in this day and age in which we find ourselves.
